Former Kosugidani Village
At the trekking to the Jomon cedar, we could see “Former Kosugidani Village". There were school, post office etc and about 500 people lived in. However, the village was abandoned about 50 years ago because of stopping to cut cedar trees.
Surprisingly, our guide said that he came to the place during there was village. His past job was public worker and he described detail that village. And he went to Jomon cedar with UNESCO staffs and he saw the process of jomon cedar becoming world heritage.
