Daigakuimo

Hi, there. I’m Marina and dietitian. Did you hear about Daigakuimo? It is one of the Japanese foods and name is strange.

Sweet potatoes are fried in oil and entwined with molasses(thick, dark brown syrup obtained from raw sugar). The origin is that it was sold in the student district of Tokyo from the Taisho era to the Showa era, and was often eaten by college students.

College is called "Daigaku" in japan. It is interesting. See you .
